​I am very passionate about the benefits that exercising in water can give people recovering from illness or surgery or those wishing to improve their general fitness, strength & flexibility.

I find it exciting to think of different ways to use buoyancy, body position, levers, reduced body weight, currents and turbulence to design an exercise program unlike anything that can be done on land. A pool heated to 32 degrees gives everybody an immediate feeling of comfort and relaxation leading to decreased pain and anxiety as well as a general sense of wellbeing.

Then it’s about giving exercises where:
  • buoyancy assists movement in stiff joints                                          
  • turbulence and water resistance provides strength training         
  • decreased effect of gravity and body weight gives freedom of movement requiring a focus on core and balance control             
  • support provided by the water allows for safe practice reacting to loss of balance                                                                    
The possibilities are endless and can be easily modified and progressed for the specific needs of each client. ​
